Where the lowland Krakov woods slowly climbs into the hilly, green Gorjanci hills lies Kostanjevica on the Krka River, the only town on the island, also called the Venice of Dolenjska. We will take a look at the old town and its main sights.
In a cottage, we will taste Cviček wine – which, in addition to Tuscan Chianti, is the only wine in the world consisting of red and white grape varieties – and traditional Dolenjska culinary delicacies. Here time is not a factor, so we can stay as long as we want.
